INFINITE publishes a review on the effects of nanoplastics and microplastics on the gut and the immune system

This review brings together data from the literature showing that microplastics are found in drinking water and in various food products. Exposure to nanoplastics and microplastics in animals induces abnormalities in several intestinal functions, and immunotoxicity. These data suggest that the increasing exposure to nanoplastics and microplastics could pose a threat to human health.
